
Labiaplasty has an impressively increasing popularity worldwide recently, especially in the United States of America with the demand for this intervention increased by 49% in 2013-2014. There are many reasons that lead women today to decide undergoing this procedure. The vast majority want an aesthetic improvement on the usually small labia (internal ) (reduction) and secondarily on the large labia (decrease or increase) or in the vagina (tightening). However, there are cases where many women develop, due to hypertrophy of the small mainly labia , dyspareunia. For small labia ( labia minora ) , excess tissue is excised using different techniques depending on the case and the use of a laser to reduce size.
