Most women have some asymmetry between the two breasts. More rarely, however, this difference goes beyond certain limits and begins to become particularly noticeable and requires correction. The procedure is to restore the symmetry of the two breasts as optimally as possible by either enlarging the small breast or reducing the size of the large one.
One can undergo this surgery after the age of 18 once breast development is complete.
It is a long lasting result and the exact duration depends largely on the technique chosen to achieve symmetry between the two breasts.
